actions in the present

Our founding members believe that all religion is inherently hypocritical. This one is no exception. As dataists, we like to think that we are intensely aware of the world around us. (This is observation of data, a critical element of the scientific method, and one of the ways we worship information.)

The world around us is an unbelievably complex and disjointed one. Religions have served, in theory, to try and make sense of that chaos. Ours is no different, yet we believe that religions have become one of the sources of that chaos. Thus, we are attempting to bring all religions into the dataist paradigm through the use of various strategies. Not the least of these strategies are parody and homolinguistic translation of religious texts.

To touch upon all religions is of course an enormous task, and we welcome help with any aspect it. Right now there are at least four projects in progress, not to mention design of this site.

The scientific method is a very disputed progression of concepts intended to spell out a method of scientific thought. Often it is described as a meants to solve problems, although this is a simplified explaination of intentions. Generally, the steps of the scientific method are described as Observation, Hypothesis, Testing of Hypothesis, and formation of Theory. See Yahoo for links to more information.
